The challenge
Build My Dapp clients arrived with an idea for a decentralized application and needed all of it built: contracts, backend, integrations, frontend and design. Most had no in-house blockchain engineers, so the team had to own the full stack and explain the tradeoffs of every on-chain decision in plain language.
Architecture
A typical build paired Solidity smart contracts with a Node.js API layer for off-chain data, indexing and third-party integrations, and a web frontend with wallet connection and transaction flows. Design ran alongside engineering so the interface made on-chain actions understandable to non-crypto users.
My role and how it shipped
As CTO I was responsible for integrating web3 into each project: smart contract development, Node.js development, API integration, frontend website development and design, while leading the engineering team, reviewing contracts before deployment and keeping delivery predictable for founders.
Results
Over four years the team delivered web3 products for startups across contracts, backends and frontends, and built a repeatable delivery process that took founders from idea to a working dapp.
What I learned
Most dapp projects do not fail on the contract. They fail on everything around it: wallet UX, indexing, and explaining gas and finality to users. Owning the full stack is what made the contracts actually usable.
